Baidoa (HOL) – Somali Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre arrived in Baidoa on Thursday to join Southwest State in celebrating its 6th anniversary.
President of Southwest State Abdiasis Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, along with hundreds of residents welcomed the delegation at Baidoa Airport.
The visit aims to strengthen ties between federal and regional government institutions, review ongoing developments in Southwest State, and participate in the anniversary celebration of President Laftagareen’s administration, according to a statement from the federal government.
During his stay, Prime Minister Barre is expected to discuss key issues with President Laftagareen, including upcoming elections, security challenges, and fostering unity and collaboration to advance Somalia’s progress and stability.
