Roma 3-3 Barcelona (4-4 on aggregate; Roma go through on away goals)

Barcelona have been knocked out of the Champions League after losing 3-0 to AS Roma in their second-leg quarter-final tie on Tuesday night.
The Catalans headed into the fixture with a 4-1 advantage after last week's first-leg. But the Italians' away goal proved to be crucial as they fired three past their opponents in Rome to book a spot in the last four of the Champions League.
Premier League title favourites Manchester City have been knocked out of the Champions League at the quarterfinal stage after losing 2-1 at home to Liverpool, while five-time winners Barcelona have also exited after Roma overturned a 4-1 defeat to win 3-0 in the return leg.
City required a 3-0 win just to send the game to extra-time, after their stunning loss by that same scoreline in the first leg. And that appeared a realistic goal when Gabriel Jesus scored two minutes into the match, played at Etihad Stadium in Manchester on Tuesday (Wednesday NZT).
However, City were left reeling when they had a goal controversially ruled out for offside late in the first half.
