The scene in central Stockholm after a truck attack kills at least 3

Stockholm (HOL) - At least three people have been killed in central Stockholm after a vehicle crashed into a crowd, according to Swedish police and local media.

Shots have also reportedly been fired.

Local media reports that the truck, described by some as a lorry rammed into a crown on Drottininggatan - a main shopping street in the city centre - sending hundreds running for their lives. The incident happened just before 3 pm local time.

Swedish police spokesperson Towe Hagg told Reuters"A vehicle has injured people on Drottningatan,"

It is not immediately clear if the incident is terror-related or if the suspect as been apprehended. However, similar incidents in Europe have been claimed by ISIS.

The Swedish Prime Minister, Stefan Kofven has said that all signs of the truck incident indicates that it is a "terror attack" and his on his way back to the capital from Western Sweden.
