Haruun Hassan was treated by emergency services but died at the scene
London (HOL) — A Somali-origin man who was fatally stabbed in west London has been identified as 22-year-old Haruun Hassan, police said.
The Metropolitan Police said officers were called at 1:47 a.m. Tuesday to the junction of Bath Road and Great South-West Road in Hounslow after reports of a stabbing.
No arrests have been made.
The crime scene included a double-decker bus within the police cordon, and investigators are appealing for witnesses who were on the bus or in the area at the time to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller, who is leading the investigation, said police remain committed to finding those responsible.
“Our thoughts remain with Haruun’s family during this tremendously difficult time,” Waller said.
“We know there were a number of people on the bus at this time, and we urge those people, or anyone with information, to contact police as a matter of urgency,” he said.
Waller said detectives are continuing inquiries and the investigation remains ongoing.
“We are committed to identifying and apprehending those responsible for Haruun’s death,” he said.
