Puntland President launches first major cabinet reshuffle in over two years

Garowe (HOL) — Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni has announced a sweeping reshuffle of his cabinet, regional governors and senior government officials, marking his first major government overhaul in more than two years.

The decree, issued Tuesday by the Puntland Presidency, introduced a 43-member cabinet overseeing key portfolios such as justice, interior, health, planning, information and fisheries. The reshuffle is widely seen as an effort to strengthen governance and recalibrate the administration’s political direction amid evolving regional dynamics.
