- In recent years, a number of Swedes have travelled or attempted to travel to join terrorist groups in Africa, including IS in Somalia.
- According to the National Centre for Terror Threat Assessment, there is an increased interest in such trips - and this will continue, even if it the number of people involved is small.
- Prosecutors who work on investigating terrorist crimes have also seen an increase in cases involving so-called terror trips to Africa.
