Mogadishu (HOL) - Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud received the credentials of four newly appointed ambassadors from Turkey, South Korea, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka to Somalia on Thursday.
The envoys are Alper Akta from Turkey, Yeo Sung-jun from South Korea, K. Theshatha from Sri Lanka, and Mrs. Marie Charlotte from the Philippines.
The newly appointed ambassadors to Somalia conveyed messages from their leaders, emphasizing the desire to reinforce the historical bonds between their countries and Somalia.
President Mohamud’s discussions with the ambassadors focused on enhancing diplomatic ties and collaboration, particularly supporting Somalia’s government and its developmental aspirations.
Following the presentation of credentials, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud also underscored Somalia’s dedication to strengthening diplomatic ties with these nations.
