Mogadishu (HOL) - Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with a delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Special Envoy of the Royal Court of the Kingdom, Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Kattan, at the State House in Mogadishu on Thursday.
During the meeting, President Mohamud and the delegation discussed the ongoing fight against terrorism and the importance of further strengthening the historic ties between the two countries.

As the Somali government forces, supported by international partners, intensify their efforts against al-Shabaab, it is anticipated that the second phase of anti-al-Shabaab operations will commence in the coming weeks.Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Ahmed Sheikh Ali Doodishe, along with the Special Envoy of the Royal Court, stated in a press conference that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is ready to provide Somalia with security and investment. They emphasized that this support will enhance stability and create job opportunities for Somali citizens.
