Mogadishu (HOL) - The Speaker of Parliament, Mohamed Mursal Sheikh Abdirahman has announced that the 4th Session of Parliament will begin on September 10th.
In a statement issued on Monday, Abdirahman ordered all lawmakers to arrive in Mogadishu by September 5th.
“The 4th session of the National Assembly (Parliament) is scheduled to open on September 10, 2018, so all members of the house will be asked to travel back to Mogadishu by September 5, 2018, and be ready to represent their constituents at the National Assembly, "said a statement from the Office of the President of the House of the People of Somalia Mohamed Mursal Sheikh Abdirahman.
In the third session of the House of the People, Jawari, who had been the parliamentary speaker since 2012, unexpectedly resigned ahead of a schismatic no-confidence vote that threatened the political stability of the country.
