Turkey Affirms Supporting Sudan to Become World's Food Basket

Turkish Deputy Premier, Bekir Bozdag reiterated his countries intention to support all the
Islamic nations through introducing modern technology in all fields.

He outlined the cooperation and cohesion between Turkey and Sudan, calling for strengthening the relations to deal with all the concerns facing the two nations.

While addressing as mass rally in Al-Managel, in the occasion of launching projects sponsored by his country, Bozdag said that Turkey will continue its support to Sudan in all its issues.

He affirmed that Sudan is qualified to become the world’s food basket, announcing that Turkey will boost Sudan’s role in food security through providing the latest technologies in agriculture and animal wealth fields.

He emphasized the importance of expansion in manufacturing industries to increase the economical revenue and meet the international market requirements.

Bozdag announced that Turkey will continue its support to Sudan through the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) in several fields including health, education, infrastructure, agriculture and animal wealth.

He added that his visit to Sudan comes to hold joint talks with Sudanese officials and to participate in the inauguration of several economical and service facilities in Sudan such as the vocational centre in Khartoum and other centres in as a fruit of the cooperation and coordination with the Sudanese government.

Bozdag affirmed his country’s keenness to improve the bilateral relations with Sudan, pointing out that he arrived from Somalia after participation in several development programmes.

He confirmed that Nyala hospital will be opened soon to serve the citizens of the area besides the neighbouring countries.

He lauded the advancement of the relations between Sudan and Turkey expressing his country’s intension to deepen those relations.

For his part, Presidential Aide, Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie said that the cooperation and cohesion between Sudan and Turkey blocked the conspirators, pointing out that this kind of alliance and friendship is what the Sudanese want to confront the enemies.

Nafie commended the efforts of Gezira State in defending the nations against Kampala charter signatories.
