Somalia’s president Hassan Shiekh Mohamud has declared a new war against
Alshabab after the Islamist group claimed the responsibility for the deadly court
attack in Mogadishu on Sunday.
In a crisis meeting convened by the president with top
security and intellengency officials, Hassan urged all Somalis to contribute in
what he called a new war on Alshabab.
“Attacks in Mogadishu were unacceptable to every human being,
only animal beasts can be proud of in what happened yesterday” Said the president.
“Somalis must know
that Alshabab is not only the enemy of the government, but they are also the
enemy of all humankind, after they were defeated, they changed their war
tactics and we want all Somalis to prepare themselves for a new war against
Alshabab” added Mr. Hassan.
"I know it will be costly, but we need to exercise our patience until we crash them" he stated.
In earlier statement the president condemned the deadly
attacks in the capital city, Mogadishu, linked to the Islamist armed group
Al-Shabaab, and reiterated his government’s commitment to quell the terrorist
group.
Death toll rised to 35 in Somalia court attack yesterday according to medical sources.
