Somali national security officials met in Mogadishu on Saturday (October 6th) to discuss strategies for enhancing security, the Somali National News Agency reported.
Former Transitional Federal Government Minister of Defence Hussein Arab Isse, Minister of Interior and National Security Abdisamad Moallim Mohamud, Commander of the Somali armed forces General Abdulqadir Sheikh Ali Dini, and Chief of Police Sharif Shekuna Maye attended the meeting.
The officials agreed that Mogadishu enjoys a very high level of security and issued a warning against holding demonstrations in the capital. Maye urged police officers to use their firearms with care.
