NAIROBI (Reuters) - A loud blast struck the Kenyan capital on Monday and television pictures showed a fire raging in a badly damaged building.
At least one wounded person could be seen lying in the middle of a road as emergency services arrived to tackle the blaze. Smoke billowed into the air.
It was not immediately clear what caused the explosion. There has been a string of attacks in Nairobi and the port city of Mombasa blamed on Somali militants and their sympathisers since Kenya sent troops into Somalia in October.
