Roadside bombs in Beledweyne, central Somalia, targeted convoys of Ethiopian troops moving through the area Tuesday morning (July 17th), Garowe Online reported.
Police have not yet determined the number of casualties.
Somali soldiers began house-to-house search operations in Beledweyne on Wednesday to look for the planners of the attack, Beledweyne district commissioner Sheikh Osman told Shabelle Media Network.
Beledweyne has been under Transitional Federal Government control since December 2011, when it was peacefully taken from al-Shabaab.
