Baidoa (HOL) - Security forces in Baidoa, the capital of the Bay region, have apprehended a man who allegedly threw a hand grenade at a mosque in a neighborhood of Baidoa town on Saturday night.
A police officer told local media that residents facilitated the capture of the man in a security operation, and currently, he is being held at the Baidoa police station.
"The security forces apprehended the man immediately after the incident. I urge the public to cooperate with security agencies to prevent anything that threatens the security of the area," said the officer.
Security in Baidoa has improved recently following increased army operations aimed at ensuring the town's security.
